### How to Read Your DIVE Overview Page

The Overview page is the first thing you see after logging in to the DIVE portal. It gives you a quick health check of your account: how many verifications you have run, how many succeeded, and how many transactions you have left.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/overview-01-png-1.png?width=670&height=270&name=overview-01-png-1.png)

#### Pick Your Time Period

1. Click **Overview** in the left-hand menu.
2. Use the **Date Range** picker to choose the period you want to look at. Everything on the page updates to match.
3. (Optional) Use **Select Document Type** to focus on one type of ID, such as driver's licenses or passports. Leave it blank to see everything.

#### Summary Tiles

- **Last Scan Timestamp:** When the most recent verification happened.
- **Transactions Left:** How many verifications remain in your current plan.
- **Total Scans:** How many verifications ran in your chosen period.
- **Success Rate:** The percentage of verifications that completed successfully.

#### Billable vs. Non-Billable

The donut chart shows how many of your scans counted against your transaction allotment (**Billable**) and how many did not (**Non Billable**). Use it to understand how quickly you are using your plan.

#### Charts Further Down the Page

Scroll down for charts that show trends. The ones most teams find useful:

- **Success Rate (Last 60 Days):** Is your success rate going up or down?
- **12 Months Trend:** Monthly volume over the past year, split into valid and failed verifications.
- **Completion Status:** How many requests are Pending, Success, Failed, Expired, or Rejected.
- **Most Frequent Error Types:** A ranked list of the most common reasons verifications fail, each with a plain-language explanation.

Charts marked exportable have an **Export** option so you can pull the numbers into a spreadsheet or report.

#### Find Out Why People Are Failing

1. Set the **Date Range** to the last 30 days.
2. Scroll to **Most Frequent Error Types**.
3. Look at the top one or two reasons. If, for example, many people fail because a required image is missing, your applicants may need clearer instructions in your invitation message.

---

### How to Use the Statistics Page

The Statistics page shows your verification activity over time. Where the Overview page is a quick health check, Statistics helps you answer questions like: How many verifications did we run this year? What kinds of IDs do people use? Which states are our applicants in?

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/statistics-01-png.png?width=670&height=370&name=statistics-01-png.png)

#### Set Your Filters

1. Click **Statistics** in the left-hand menu.
2. Choose a **Date Range**. Every chart on the page follows it.
3. (Optional) Choose a **Document type** to focus on one kind of ID.

#### What You Will See

- **Last Scan Date:** When your most recent verification ran.
- **Transactions Left:** How many verifications remain on your plan.
- **Total Requests:** How many verification requests ran in your date range.
- **Total Billable and Non Billable:** How many requests counted against your plan.
- **Valid and Failed Verifications:** A pie chart of requests that are Pending, Success, or Failed.
- **Type of ID:** Which kinds of ID (driver's license, passport, and so on) your applicants use.
- **12 Months Trend:** Monthly volume for the past year.
- **State Map:** A map of the United States, shaded by how many scans came from each state.

#### Pull a Report

1. Set the **Date Range** you need.
2. Find the chart you want to share.
3. Click **Export** on that chart to download the numbers behind it.

#### Tips

- Use **Type of ID** to confirm your applicants are using the document types you expect.
- Use the **State Map** to spot unexpected concentrations, which can be useful when reviewing for fraud or tracking a regional launch.
- Not sure whether to use Statistics or Overview? Use Overview for a quick daily check and Statistics when you need to build a report.

### Understanding the Confidence Dashboard

Every time DIVE verifies someone, it gives the result scores that show how confident it is. The Confidence Dashboard shows how your results are spread across those scores, so you can decide whether your pass/fail rules are too strict or too loose.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/confidencedashboard-01-png.png?width=670&height=373&name=confidencedashboard-01-png.png)

#### The Three Scores

- **Document:** How confident DIVE is in the ID document itself.
- **Anti-spoofing:** How confident DIVE is that the face was captured genuinely and not faked, for example by photographing a screen or a copy.
- **Face Match:** How confident DIVE is that the selfie matches the photo on the ID.

Each score is a number from 0 to 100. Higher means more confident.

#### Review Your Results

1. Click **Confidence Dashboard** in the left-hand menu.
2. Click the **Date Range** picker at the top right and choose a period. Presets such as Today, Last 7 days, and Last 30 days are available.
3. Check **General Statistics** for how many verifications succeeded and failed.
4. Check **Verified the Faces Match** to see how many verifications included a face match and how many skipped it.
5. Look at the chart on each score card. Each bar shows how many results landed in a 10-point range, such as 80-90.

#### Test a Different Cutoff Without Changing Anything

Each score card has a **Confidence Score** box. This lets you try out a cutoff to see what would happen. It does not change your live settings.

1. Type a number into the **Confidence Score** box, or use the **-** and **+** buttons.
2. Look at **Above Threshold** and **Below Threshold**. These show how many results would fall on each side of that cutoff.
3. Try a few values until you find one that feels right for your business.

#### Make a Change Permanent

The Confidence Dashboard is for exploring only. To actually change your cutoffs, go to **Settings → Confidence Score Thresholds**. See **Understanding Confidence Thresholds** for steps.

#### Tip

If many good applicants are being failed, your cutoff may be too high. If bad actors are getting through, it may be too low. Test on this dashboard first, then change your settings.

### What Profiles Are and How to Use Them

A Profile is a saved set of settings in the DIVE portal. It holds things like how strict your pass/fail rules are, the wording of your emails and texts, your consent language, and the look of your applicant page.

Most businesses only need one Profile, called **default**. Extra Profiles are useful when you need different settings for different situations, for example one for each business line, or one for testing and one for live use.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/profiles-01-list-png.png?width=670&height=180&name=profiles-01-list-png.png)

#### How Profiles Show Up Across the Portal

Every settings page has a **Profile** dropdown at the top. Whatever you change on that page applies only to the Profile you have selected. Always check which Profile is selected before you save a change.

#### Create a New Profile

1. Click **Profiles** in the left-hand menu.
2. Click **Create New** at the top right.
3. Give the Profile a clear name, such as "Retail Stores" or "Test".
4. Go to any page under **Settings**, choose your new Profile from the **Profile** dropdown, and set it up.

#### Understanding the Profiles List

- **Name:** The Profile's label.
- **Default:** Marks the Profile that is used when none is chosen.
- **Active:** Whether the Profile is currently turned on.
- **Last Updated:** When its settings were last saved.

#### Choose Which Profile a Verification Uses

When you send an applicant a verification link, the **Send Online Verification** form has a **Profile** dropdown. Pick the Profile whose settings you want that request to follow. If you do not choose one, the default Profile is used.

#### Remove a Profile You No Longer Need

1. Go to **Profiles**.
2. Find the Profile in the list.
3. Use its delete action in the **Actions** column.

---

### How to Use the Banned List

The Banned List is a list of people you want DIVE to flag if they try to verify their identity with you. If someone on the list submits an ID, the verification result shows the match so your team can review it or reject it.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/bannedlist-01-list-png.png?width=670&height=264&name=bannedlist-01-list-png.png)

#### Add Someone to the Banned List

1. Click **Banned List** in the left-hand menu.
2. Click **Add Person** at the top right.
3. Enter the person's information.
4. Save. The person now appears on your list.

#### Find, Edit, or Remove an Entry

1. Type a name in the **Search** box and click **Search**.
2. Click the blue **pencil** icon to edit the entry.
3. Click the red **trash** icon to remove it. Removal is permanent.

#### How Matching Works

You decide how closely a new applicant must match a listed person before DIVE flags them, for example, matching on first and last name together. This rule is set under **Settings → Banned List**. That settings page is also where you choose who is notified by email or text message when a match is found. See **Setting Up Banned List Alerts** for steps.

#### Tips

- Keep the list current. Remove people who should no longer be flagged.
- A match is a flag for your team to review, so make sure someone on your team knows to watch for these.

### How Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM) Works

Suspicious Activity Monitoring, or SAM, helps protect you from repeated suspicious submissions, such as someone trying the same images over and over. When a source hits your limit, DIVE rejects its images for a set number of days. The SAM page shows you who has been flagged.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-13-2026-04-01-31-4935-PM.png?width=670&height=157&name=image-png-Oct-13-2026-04-01-31-4935-PM.png)

#### Review Flagged Activity

1. Click **SAM** in the left-hand menu.
2. (Optional) Use the date range picker at the top right to narrow the list to a recent period.
3. Review the table. If nothing has been flagged, you will see "No Data", which is good news.

#### What the Columns Mean

- **Most Recent Request ID:** The ID of the latest flagged attempt.
- **Most Recent Timestamp:** When that attempt happened.
- **Source (Account Name):** Where the repeated submissions came from.
- **Days Left Till Resubmission:** How many days remain before this source can submit again.
- **Number of Submissions Rejected:** How many submissions from this source have been rejected.

Click a column heading marked sortable to sort the list, for example, to see the most active sources first.

#### Change How Strict SAM Is

You control how many repeat submissions are allowed, how far back DIVE looks for matches, and how many days a flagged source stays blocked. These are set under **Settings → SAM**. See **Adjusting Suspicious Activity Monitoring Settings** for steps.

#### Tip

If a legitimate customer says their submissions keep getting rejected, check this page for their source and look at **Days Left Till Resubmission**. That tells you how long until they can try again.

Want to enable SAM for your account? Contact [support@idscan.net](mailto:support@idscan.net).

### How to Manage Sub Accounts

Sub Accounts let one parent account manage several child accounts, for example separate business units, resellers, or clients. Each Sub Account has its own transaction allowance, and you manage them all from one page.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/subaccounts-01-list-png.png?width=670&height=182&name=subaccounts-01-list-png.png)

#### Who This Is For

If you only run one business under your DIVE account, you will not have Sub Accounts and can skip this article. If you resell DIVE or manage several clients, this is where you keep track of them.

#### Check Your Own Account at a Glance

The bar at the top of the page shows your parent account's name, whether **Transactions Enabled** is Yes or No, how many **Transactions Remaining** you have, and when it was last updated.

#### Find a Sub Account

1. Click **Sub Accounts** in the left-hand menu.
2. Type a name in the **Search** box at the top right.

#### What the Columns Mean

- **ID and Name:** The Sub Account's identifier and label.
- **Contact Name:** The person associated with that Sub Account.
- **Transactions Enabled:** Whether the Sub Account can currently run verifications.
- **Transactions Remaining:** How many verifications it has left.
- **Last Updated:** When it was last changed.

#### Pause a Sub Account

1. Find the Sub Account in the list.
2. Switch the **Transactions Enabled** toggle off.

This stops the Sub Account from running verifications without deleting it or its history. Switch the toggle back on to resume. This is useful for a client who has not paid or has left.

#### See the Portal the Way a Sub Account Does

1. Find the Sub Account in the list.
2. Click **View as** in the **Actions** column.

You will see the portal from that Sub Account's point of view, which is the fastest way to help a client who says something looks wrong.

### API Tokens: What They Are and What to Give Your Developer

An API Token is like a password that lets software connect to DIVE. If you only send verification links from the portal, you do not need one. If a developer is connecting your website, app, or systems to DIVE, they will ask you for one.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/applicant-bundles-01-list-png.png?width=670&height=109&name=applicant-bundles-01-list-png.png)

#### Two Kinds of Tokens

- **Public token:** Starts with `pk_`. Safe to use in parts of a website or app that customers can technically see.
- **Secret token:** Starts with `sk_`. Full access. It must only be used on your developer's servers, never in a web page or mobile app.

Treat a Secret token the way you would treat a bank password.

#### Create a Token

1. Click **API Tokens** in the left-hand menu.
2. Click **Add Token** at the top right.
3. Choose an **Expiration Date**, or click **Infinite Date** if it should never expire.
4. Choose **Public** or **Secret**. If you are not sure, ask your developer which they need.
5. Click **Create**.
6. Copy the new token and store it somewhere secure.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/apitokens-02-create-modal-png-1.png?width=670&height=288&name=apitokens-02-create-modal-png-1.png)

#### Turn a Token Off or Delete It

- **Turn it off temporarily:** Use the **Change Status** switch to set it to Disabled. It stops working immediately but stays on your list.
- **Delete it:** Click the **×** button. This is permanent, and anything still using that token will stop working right away.
- **Show or hide turned-off tokens:** Use the **Show Disabled Tokens** switch at the top right.

If you ever think a token has been exposed, disable it right away and create a replacement.

#### Here's What to Give Your Developer

- A **Secret token** for their server-side code.
- A **Public token** if they are building something that runs in a browser or mobile app.
- The expiration dateyou chose, so they can plan for renewal if it is not set to never expire.

**How to share safely:** Do not paste tokens into regular email, chat, or support tickets. Use a password manager or another secure sharing method your company already uses.

### Callback URLs: Get Results Sent to Your Systems Automatically

A Callback URL is an address on your own systems where DIVE can automatically redirect end users using the SMS/email verification flow. This is **only** applicable for Applicant mode. For example, after a user completes verification, you can seamlessly send them to your website.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/callbackurls-01-list-png.png?width=670&height=205&name=callbackurls-01-list-png.png)

#### Where Callback URLs Are Used

The list you build here becomes the choices available in the **Callback URL** dropdown when you send an applicant a verification request from **Applicant Mode → Applicants**.

#### Add a Callback URL

1. Click **Callback URLs** in the left-hand menu.
2. Click **Add URL** at the top right.
3. Enter the full web address your developer gave you. It should start with `https://`.
4. Save.

Remove to places that no longer exist.

---

### Webhooks: Get Notified When Something Happens

A Webhook is a way for DIVE to automatically send updates to your own systems the moment something happens, rather than you having to check the portal. Webhooks are mainly set up with a developer's help. If you do not have a system that needs to receive updates from DIVE, you can skip this page. This page is only applicable for Applicant mode. For one shot mode, there is a dedicated \`webhookUrl\` field that can be used.

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/webhooks-01-list-png.png?width=670&height=148&name=webhooks-01-list-png.png)

#### Add a Webhook

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-13-2026-04-30-39-2492-PM.png?width=410&height=479&name=image-png-Oct-13-2026-04-30-39-2492-PM.png)

1. Click **Webhooks** in the left-hand menu.
2. Click **Add Webhook** at the top right.
3. Enter a descriptive **Name**, such as "Production CRM".
4. Enter the **Destination** address your developer gave you, starting with `https://`.
5. Save, then confirm a checkmark appears in the **Enabled** column.

**v.1.0** - DIVE Online's webhooks

**v.1.1** - DIVE V5 Webhook.

#### Change or Remove a Webhook

- Click the **pencil** icon to change the name or destination, for example when your developer moves to a new server.
- Click the **×** to delete a Webhook you no longer use.

#### Here's What to Give Your Developer

- **From your developer to you:** The full `https://` destination address they want updates sent to, and a name for it and any other applicable fields.
- **From you to your developer:** Confirmation that the Webhook shows as **Enabled** in the portal, so they can begin testing.
