### **Introduction**

When a verification finishes, the DIVE portal gives you a Request Details screen that shows what DIVE saw and how it decided. It breaks into four parts: the scores, the settings and checks that ran, the knowledge-based questions, and the data read from the ID. This article walks through each one from top to bottom.

### **Navigation**

1. Log in to the [DIVE Portal](https://mydive.idscan.net/).
2. Click **One Shot Mode → [Verification Requests](https://mydive.idscan.net/requests)** in the left-hand menu.

   ![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-21-2026-06-56-54-2220-PM.png?width=187&height=182&name=image-png-Oct-21-2026-06-56-54-2220-PM.png)
3. Find the request. If you have its ID, type it into **Verification Request ID** and click **Filter**.
4. Click the **Details** icon at the end of the row.

### **Back and Download Buttons**

To go back, click **Back to Verification Requests** at the top left. The **Download Report** and **Download Images** buttons at the top right save a copy of the report or the captured images. Both contain personal information, so store them securely.

### **Captured Images and Confidence Scores**

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-22-2026-02-19-06-2840-PM.png?width=670&height=398&name=image-png-Oct-22-2026-02-19-06-2840-PM.png)

#### Captured Evidence

On the left are the images the applicant submitted: a **Selfie**, and the **Front** and **Back** of the ID. Additionally, UV and/or IR images will be present if sent in an Authentication API Request. Images can be clicked for an expanded view in the browser.

#### The Three Score Cards

Each card shows a score from 0 to 100. Higher means DIVE is more confident.

- **Document Validation:** How confident DIVE is that the ID is genuine and readable. The rows underneath show what was checked:
    - **OCR read:** Whether DIVE read the printed text on the front.
    - **PDF417 read:** Whether the barcode on the back was read.
    - **MRZ read:** Whether the machine-readable lines were read. These appear on passports and some other IDs, so **Skipped** is normal for IDs that do not have them, such as most US driver's licenses.
    - **Expired:** **False** means the ID is not expired.
- **Anti-Spoofing:** How confident DIVE is that the ID and selfie are real captures and not fakes, such as a photo of a screen or a printed copy.
    - **Document photo tampered:** Whether the photo on the ID was altered.
    - **Data fields tampered:** Whether the OCR fields on the front of the ID were altered.
- **Face Match:** How closely the selfie matches the photo on the ID. **False acceptance rate** is an estimate of how likely it is that a different person would be wrongly accepted. Lower is better, and 0% is the best result.

**Colors:** Green means a good result. Gray means the check was skipped or did not run. A gray **Skipped** is not a failure.

#### Document Marks

This section lists features that can appear on an ID, such as REAL ID, Commercial Drivers License, Veteran, Donor, Limited Duration, Enhanced Credential, Permit, and Sample Document. The key at the top right explains the symbols:

- **Present:** DIVE found this feature on the ID.
- **Not present:** DIVE looked and did not find it.
- **Not checked:** DIVE did not check for it on this ID.
- **Risk signal:** A warning triangle. Look at the ID more closely.

On a typical ID, most marks show Not present or Not checked, and that is normal.

### **Request Info, Third-Party Checks, and Settings Used**

#### Request Info

- **ID:** The unique number for this request. **Include it whenever you contact support.**
- **Status:** **Success** or **Failed**. This status is for the overall API result, not whether the ID/Face was genuine.
- **Failure Message:** If the request failed, the reason appears here. A dash means nothing went wrong.
- **Created:** When the request was submitted.
- **Document Type:** The kind of ID submitted, such as ID or Passport.
- **OS, OS Version, Browser Name, and Brand:** The applicant's device and browser. These help your team or support troubleshoot capture problems.
- **API Version:** The version of DIVE that handled the request.
- **Web Lib Version:** Tags the version of the IDScan.net Web UI if sent in the request body.
- **Audit Information:** Extra audit details, when recorded. A dash means none were recorded.

#### Third Party Checks

Third-party checks are extra checks DIVE runs through outside services, such as address validation, DMV, and IdentiFraud. Each one shows a **Status** and a **Reason**:

- **Completed:** The check ran. A Reason of `NULL` means there was nothing to report.
- **Skipped:** The check did not run, so it is not a failure by the applicant. Read the Reason to see why. In the example above, DMV was skipped because the state was not yet supported by the DMV service.

The buttons at the top run a check manually. They appear grayed out when they are not available for the request or have already been executed.

#### Settings Configuration

This card lists the settings the request ran with, each marked **Enabled** or **Disabled**. It answers the question "why did, or didn't, DIVE do that?" For example, if you expected a face match and there isn't one, check whether **Face Matching** is Disabled. These are the final settings sent at the time of the request, including any overridden settings done in code. So if you see a conflict between these settings and your intended ones, this would be the cause.

The second card, **Settings Configuration (Front and Back Reading)**, shows which outside checks were chosen when both sides of the ID could be read. Only one option is Enabled. In the example, **Run DMV and IdentiFraud both** is Enabled, which is why both appear under Third Party Checks.

### **Identity Questions (KBA)**

 ![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Oct-22-2026-02-36-41-6857-PM.png?width=670&height=828&name=undefined-Oct-22-2026-02-36-41-6857-PM.png)

KBA stands for knowledge-based authentication. It asks questions that only the real person should be able to answer, such as which address, area code, county, or zip code is associated with them. Each question includes a **None of the above** choice.

The notice **At least one question should be answered** means no question has been answered yet. You may not see this section on every request.

These questions also appear in the API response and can be used with the Questions endpoint to develop an automated quiz in your application.

### **Data Read From the ID**

 ![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Oct-22-2026-02-38-05-7741-PM.png?width=670&height=460&name=undefined-Oct-22-2026-02-38-05-7741-PM.png)

- **Scan Location:** Where the scan happened, when that information is available. **Scan Location Data is empty** means none was recorded for this request. It is not an error.
- **Document Information:** The details DIVE read from the ID: number, ID type, country (as both 3-letter and 2-letter codes), family name, first name, full name, and more as you scroll. Compare these with what the applicant told you or what you have on file. Click the arrow to collapse the section.
- **Click to Copy TrackString:** Copies the raw data read from the ID's barcode. Your developer or support may ask for it when troubleshooting.

All of this is personal information. Share it only through secure channels.

### **Reading a Result in 60 Seconds**

1. Check **Status** in Request Info. If it says Failed, read the **Failure Message**.
2. Compare the three scores with your cutoffs.
3. Look at **Document Marks** for any risk signal.
4. Check **Third Party Checks**. For anything that is not Completed, read the Reason.
5. If something you expected is missing, check **Settings Configuration**.
