### **Introduction**

When an applicant finishes their verification, the DIVE portal shows the outcome on an Applicant Details screen. It has two tabs, **Overview** for the quick answer and **Details** for the check-by-check breakdown. This article walks through both, from the Applicants list to the last check in the summary.

### **Navigation**

1. Log in to the [DIVE Portal](https://mydive.idscan.net/).
2. Click **Applicant Mode→ [Applicants](https://mydive.idscan.net/applicants?page=1&pageSize=10)** in the left-hand menu.

   ![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-22-2026-03-06-27-5615-PM.png?width=220&height=279&name=image-png-Oct-22-2026-03-06-27-5615-PM.png)
3. Find the applicant. Use **Date Range**, **Search**, or **Status**, then click **Filter**.
4. Check the **Status** badge on their row.
     1. **Approved** - The applicant session has passed.

1. 1. **Pending-** Applicant session is open, with no attempts completed.
     2. **Failed** - Applicant has failed all attempts , and has none remaining.
     3. **Canceled -** The DIVE user canceled the applicant session via API or web portal.
     4. **Failed Attempt** - Applicant failed their latest attempt, but has some remaining
     5. **In Progress -** An attempt is currently undergoing verification by the DIVE engine, and will become another status upon completion.

Click the blue **Review** button at the start of the row to open their Applicant Details.

### **Forward/Back and Download Buttons**

![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-22-2026-03-14-59-9766-PM.png?width=429&height=71&name=image-png-Oct-22-2026-03-14-59-9766-PM.png)

- **Previous and Next (top right):** Move to the neighboring applicant without going back to the list. A button is grayed out when there is no applicant in that direction.
- **Download Images and Export PDF:** Save the applicant's images or a PDF of the result. Both contain personal information, so store them securely.

### **Attempts**

### **![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-22-2026-03-22-45-2066-PM.png?width=408&height=156&name=image-png-Oct-22-2026-03-22-45-2066-PM.png)**

If an applicant has more than one attempt,  selecting it in "Verification History" shows that attempt's Scan Results.

### **The Decision and Applicant Snapshot**

#### ![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Oct-22-2026-03-36-47-0832-PM.png?width=670&height=339&name=undefined-Oct-22-2026-03-36-47-0832-PM.png)

#### **The Decision Banner**

The large banner at the top gives the overall answer. This is reflective of the overall Status in the Applicants' table.

#### **Who the Applicant Is**

Under the banner, you will see the applicant's name, **Age**, **Sex**, **Date of birth**, and **ID Expiration**, all read from their ID. Compare these with what you have on file if you need to confirm you have the right person.

#### **Alerts**

Alerts will appear in the banner upon failing any checks such as the scores, or seconday checks.

Examples:

A Name Mismatch alert will appear if the name entered upon application creation does **not** match the document name.

A Banned List alert will appear upon being flagged on the account's Banned List.

#### **The Images**

Click a tab to switch images: **Front**, **Back**, **Selfie**, **Front IR**, **Front UV**, **Back IR**, and **Back UV**. Grayed-out tabs were not captured for this applicant. IR and UV are special infrared and ultraviolet images that only certain scanning equipment produces, so those are usually grayed out.

#### **Request Data and ID Data**

These two sections are collapsed to keep the page tidy. Click the **+** next to either one to open it. **Request Data** holds information about the request itself, and **ID Data** holds the details read from the ID.

#### **Verification History**

On the right, Verification History lists the applicant's attempts, each with its outcome (such as **Passed**) and the date and time. Applicants can try more than once, so look here if you want to see how many tries it took.

### **Check-by-Check Summary (Details Tab)**

 ![](https://support.idscan.net/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Oct-22-2026-03-39-56-4921-PM.png?width=670&height=879&name=undefined-Oct-22-2026-03-39-56-4921-PM.png)

Click the **Details** tab to see every check DIVE ran. The **Summary** table lists each check with its **Result** and a plain-language description. Click the **Result** heading to sort the table, and use the small arrow beside a check to expand or collapse it.

#### **What the Result Badges Mean**

- **Passed or Valid (green):** The check succeeded.
- **Skipped:** The check did not run. It is not a failure by the applicant, and the Reason underneath tells you why.
- **Disabled:** The check is turned off in your settings.
- **True or False:** The answer to a yes-or-no question about the ID.
- **Null:** DIVE has no value for this item on this ID, usually because it is not present or does not apply.

#### **The Scored Checks**

Three checks show a **Score** and a **Threshold**. The check passes when the score meets the threshold. Thresholds are set for your Profile under **Settings → Confidence Score Thresholds**.

- **Document Confidence:** How confident DIVE is that the ID is genuine. It compares the barcode data on the back with the text on the front and looks at the authenticity of the document. It also factors in any Third Party Checks ran at the time of the request.
- **Face Match:** How closely the selfie matches the photo on the ID.
- **Anti Spoofing:** Whether a real person was present, rather than a printed photo, a replayed video, or a 3D mask.

**Document Expiration** is not scored. It shows **Valid** along with the expiration date on the ID.

#### **Checks That Can Be Skipped or Turned Off**

- **AddressValidation:** Checks the address on the ID. In this example it shows **Skipped** because "This document type doesn't support Address Validation."
- **Consent Form:** Records that the applicant agreed to your consent terms. **Disabled** means the consent step was not turned on for this request. it.

#### **Reading Checks**

- **OCR:** **True** means the printed text on the front was read.
- **MRZ:** **True** means the machine-readable zone was read. This is the coded strip found on documents such as passports, passport cards, and green cards.
- **PDF417 : True** means the  a 2D barcode sequence encoded on documents like driver's licenses or State ID cards was read.

### **Facts About the ID**

The rest of the table describes the type of credential rather than passing or failing it:

- **International Document:** Whether the ID was processed with DIVE's international library.
- **REAL ID Compliant:** Whether the ID is marked as REAL ID, the type accepted for boarding domestic flights and entering certain federal facilities.
- **Commercial Driver's License:** Whether the credential is a commercial driver's license or commercial learner's permit.
- **Non-Domicile:** Whether a commercial license holder is marked as non-domiciled.
- **Enhanced Credential:** Whether it is an enhanced driver's license or enhanced ID.
- **Permit:** Whether the credential is a permit, such as a vehicle or motorcycle permit.
- **Interlock Restriction:** Whether the license requires an ignition interlock device, a breathalyzer connected to the vehicle.

**Do not be alarmed by a red False.** On these items, red **False** only means the attribute does not apply. In the example, the ID is not a permit, not an enhanced credential, and the holder is not non-domiciled. It is not a problem with the verification.

### **Reading a Result in 60 Seconds**

1. Check the banner and the **Status** on the Applicants list.
2. On the **Details** tab, confirm **Document Confidence**, **Face Match**, and **Anti-Spoofing** each meet their threshold.
3. Make sure **Document Expiration** says Valid.
4. For anything marked Skipped or Disabled, read the Reason or check your settings to see whether that is what you expect.
5. Use **Verification History** to see how many attempts it took.
