A guide to your Gemalto page reader

Initialization


This guide applies to the following scanners:

  • CR5400
  • AT9000 MK2
  • AT10K
  • AT10K (USB Type-C)
  • QS1000
  • QS2000
  • KR9000

Remember to install your device driver before plugging in your scanner.

Download the Gemalto driver from our website here.

Now run the installer called DocumentReaderDriversSetup_1.26.20.exe


Once complete, you can install your IDScan.net software solution:

Once your software solution is installed, you are ready to configure your scanner specific settings.

Device-Specific Settings


Plug your scanner into your computer and wait for it to initialize.

Once you have a solid blue status LED on your device, you can launch your software.

A solid blue LED indicates the device is ready. If your LED is not blue or if your status LED stays blinking, please contact IDScan.net Technical Support.

In VeriScan, navigate to Scanners/Images > Page Reader Settings.

In WizzForms, right-click and select Scanners/Images > Page Reader Settings.

 

Select the serial number of your scanner from the dropdown menu at the top of the window.


Select Scan MRZ and PDF417 as your relevant document.

Disable the option Enable Button "Add Image."

Enable the option Signal LED (Gemalto(3M)).

All six selections (Front and Back: UV, IR, and Normal light) under Images are required for use with VeriScan Authentication.

CR5400

Disable the option Enable button "Add image"

Disable the option Auto prompt for the second side.


The CR5400 has the ability to capture all 6 image types: Front and back in white light, UV, and IR.

You can disable any option you do not wish to capture unless you are using VeriScan Authentication.

AT9000 and AT10k

Enable the option Enable button "Add image"

This option gives you a button to add an additional image to a user's profile.

You may enable the option Auto prompt for the second side.

This checkbox will prompt you to "Flip the document" if it detects a 2-sided document such as an ID.


The AT9000 and AT10K have the ability to capture all 6 image types: Front and back in white light, UV, and IR. You can disable any option you do not wish to capture unless you are using VeriScan Authentication.

QS1000 and QS2000

Enable the option Enable button "Add image"

This option gives you a button to add an additional image to a user's profile.


You may enable the option Auto prompt for the second side.

This checkbox will prompt you to "Flip the document" if it detects a 2-sided document such as an ID.

The QS1000 and QS2000 do not have the ability to capture UV images.

Disable UV front and UV back, the QS1000 or QS2000 will not be able to save these image types.

You can enable Normal and IR for both front and back.
