One of the most effective ways to enhance security is through the use of multi-factor Authentication (MFA). MFA is a security measure that requires users to provide two or more forms of identification before being granted access IDScan.net products.

Set up MFA

  1. Sign into my.IDScan.net.
  2. Under My Account, select Profile > Multi-factor Authentication.

     

  3. Choose your method of MFA
    1. Email
    2. Phone
    3. Authenticator app
  4. Follow the prompts and enter the Verification Code you received, then click Next.

Once you have completed this process, you will see the enabled security methods in your account.

It's also recommended that you set up recovery codes in the event you lose access to your security methods.

Set up MFA for your team

You can require your entire team set up multi-factor on for their logins for added security account-wide.

  1. Sign into my.IDScan.net.
  2. Under Team Administration, select Users.
  3. Enable the toggle "Require Two-Factor Authentication".
  4. Once enabled, the users on your team will be required to set up MFA upon their next sign-in.

Sign In with MFA

  1. Sign in with your normal sign-in method
  2. Select your security method of choice and follow the prompts.
