How do I integrate VeriScan with the Sweed POS system?

The Sweed VeriScan integration creates customer records in Sweed via ID scans in VeriScan. Set up via VeriScan Cloud, enable webhooks, and configure headers.

The Sweed VeriScan integration allows customer records to be created in Sweed from the scan of a driver’s license or passport done by Veriscan. The integration is a one-way integration - Veriscan pushes to Sweed, but Sweed does not communicate back to VeriScan in any way.

Setup Instructions

  • Login to the VeriScan Cloud console at https://veriscancloud.com/

  • On the left navigation column, browse to Integrations >> Webhooks

Near the top of the screen, click the Enable webhooks toggle switch to activate webhook functionality.

  • Place a check in the 'Create History Record', 'Update History Record', and 'Complete Scan' checkboxes

  • Click the Save settings button

  • Click on the Add endpoint button to create a new webhook definition

  • Add the Webhook Endpoint Name: Sweed
  • Click Create endpoint at the bottom of the section to save your configuration and activate the webhook.
  • Make sure to set the Active toggle switch to the on position.

 

  • You will next navigate to Access Management > Devices

  • You will then click on the Pencil icon in the Edit column. 
  • Here, you will need to note the Device ID for each of your scanners as this information will be put into the Sweed portal in the next step.

Next, navigate to your Sweed portal. 

Here, you will navigate to 1. Settings > 2. Integrations > 3. VeriScan
4. Select your operating mode of either 'Auto check-in' or 'Semi-manual check-in'.
5. Select the +New Device ID button
6. Enter your Device ID from VeriScanCloud as described above. (Repeat steps 5 and 6 for any additional devices you may have for this location)
7. Select the Create button

You should now be able to perform a test scan to ensure your integration is working.
