Best practices for interpreting visual checkboxes in DIVE Online.
Table of Contents
Overview
The DIVE Online Web portal presents results with visual checkboxes. Below is an example of all the necessary checkboxes for a driver's license submission completing and passing.
However, there can be cases where checks can fail or be incomplete. This article provides in-depth clarification for DIVE Online users to interpret results.
Document Confidence
The document confidence score will be a pass/fail value based on the preconfigured account threshold of the DIVE Online account. If the submission has third-party services, this score will also reflect their addition.
Example 1:
This document is determined to be a pass because the account settings are set to a minimum of 71% and 100% exceeds this value
The overall result will be marked "Passed" if Anti Spoofing and Face Match scores also exceed the minimum thresholds.
Example 2 :
This document is determined to be a fail because the account settings are set to a minimum of 71% and 0% does not exceed this value
The overall result will be marked as "Failed."
Face Match
Face Matching is an optional check with DIVE Online. If enabled, the pre-configured account threshold will determine a pass/fail determination when the submission is completed.
Example 1:
In this example, face match has been configured as optional. This submission did not include a face match and returned as "Skipped." This does not affect the overall submission result.
Example 2:
This is determined to be a pass because the account settings are set to a minimum of 65% and 87% exceeds this value
The overall result will be marked "Passed" if Anti Spoofing and Document Confidence scores also exceed the minimum thresholds.
Example 3 :
This is determined to be a fail because the account settings are set to a minimum of 50% and 0% does not exceed this value
The overall result will be marked as "Failed."
Expiration
The expiration checkbox will check the expiration date encoded on the document and return a pass/fail if the date is exceeded.
The "Expiration" check does not affect the overall result.
Example 1:
The expiration date on the document (03/05/2029) has not been met and the system returns as "Valid."
Example 2:
The expiration date on the document has been met and the system returns as "Expired."
Anti Spoofing
Anti Spoofing check is dependent on the Face matching being enabled. If enabled, the account threshold will determine a pass/fail determination when the submission is completed.
Example 1:
In this example, this submission did not include a face photo and Anti Spoofing returned as "Skipped." This does not affect the overall submission result.
Example 2:
This is determined to be a pass because the account settings are set to a minimum of 70% and 99% exceeds this value
The overall result will be marked "Passed" if Face Match and Document Confidence scores also exceed the minimum thresholds.
Example 3 :
This is determined to be a fail because the account settings are set to a minimum of 70% and 0% does not exceed this value
The overall result will be marked as "Failed."
Address
The "Address" checkbox is based on the completion status of the third-party Address Validation service.
This service will not execute if the document does not have an address encoded (ex: Passport).
Example 1:
The address on the document has been sent to the address validation service and the service call has been completed.
DMV
The DMV Validation service checkbox will be reflected depending on whether the DIVE Online user has configured the request to enable this service. The overall results of the DMV check will be reflected in the Document Confidence score.
Example 1:
DMV was entirely disabled for this submission and has returned "Disabled."
Example 2:
DMV returns "Skipped" due to the state on the document not being supported by the DMV.
Example 3:
The DMV request has been successfully processed with the data on the document and returns "Completed."
This does not mean the DMV passed.
A document can fail the DMV but still complete the request. The document confidence score will automatically have DMV results factored into it.
IdentiFraud
The IdentiFraud service checkbox will be reflected depending on whether the DIVE Online user has configured the request to enable this service. The overall results of the IdentiFraud check will be reflected in the Document Confidence score.
Example 1:
IdentiFraud was entirely disabled for this submission and has returned "Disabled."
Example 2:
The IdentiFraud request has been successfully processed with the data on the document and returns "Completed."
This does not mean IdentiFraud passed.
A document can fail the IdentiFraud check but still complete the request. The document confidence score will automatically have IdentiFraud results factored into it.
Consent Form
The DIVE Online account can be configured to allow a consent form for the end user. If the consent form is not signed, the request will not proceed to the submission process.
Example 1:
The consent form has been signed by the end user.
Example 2
The consent form has been disabled on this request.
OCR
OCR reflects whether the human-readable fields on the front of a document have been read. Checks related to OCR will be reflected in the Document Confidence score.
Example 1:
The DIVE Online user has disabled OCR processing or document submission does not contain a front image and returns as "Skipped."
Example 2:
The front image provided could not process (ex: Image quality, picture of back instead of front, black image).
This does not mean the document is invalid as a whole.
Example 3:
The front image was provided with good image quality and has successfully read the data fields.
PDF 417
PDF417 reflects whether the 2D-Barcode (if the document has one) has been read. Checks related to PDF417 will be reflected in the Document Confidence score.
Example 1:
The document did not contain a barcode image and has returned as "Skipped."
Example 2:
The barcode image provided could not process (ex: Image quality, picture of back instead of front, black image).
This does not mean the document is invalid as a whole.
Example 3:
The barcode image was provided with good image quality and has successfully read the data string.
MRZ
MRZ reflects whether the Machine Readable Zone (if the document has one) has been read. Checks related to MRZ will be reflected in the Document Confidence score.
Example 1:
The document did not contain a barcode image and has returned as "Skipped."
Example 2:
The barcode image provided could not process (ex: Image quality, picture of back instead of front, black image).
This does not mean the document is invalid as a whole.
Example 3:
The MRZ image was provided with good image quality and has successfully read the data string.
International
The International checkbox signifies if an ID using the International library was processed. Please contact your account manager at IDScan.net if you are interested in this library.
