A guide to enabling or disabling the automatic update service in ParseLink so your software always stays up to date.
Introduction
Starting in ParseLink 2.7, users have the ability to automatically download the latest updates for ParseLink in the background.
While you're using your computer, an update service will monitor for a new version of ParseLink and prepare it for you automatically. When the update is ready, a popup will appear that will restart the ParseLink application using the latest version from the IDScan.net server.
Enabling the updates using the update service means you won't have to visit the download page to get the latest features and ID library updates.
Enable Automatic Updates
Right-click on the ParseLink tray icon to get started.
In the right-click menu, click on "Check for a New Version"
You should see a window appear with your current version, the current version available on the server, and your subscription information.
To keep ParseLink up to date (recommended), enable the checkbox for downloading updates as soon as they're available.
