I need to replace my computer. How can I transfer my VeriScan license to the new one?

How to Transfer Your VeriScan License to a New Computer

If you need to replace your computer and transfer your VeriScan license, follow these steps to deactivate the current login and set up a new one on your new computer:

  1. Deactivate the Current Device Login:

    • Go to the VeriScan Cloud portal at https://veriscancloud.com/Devices.
    • Navigate to Access Management > Devices.
    • Find your current device and toggle the Enabled switch to off.
    • Note: Once the old device login has been deactivated, VeriScan will no longer be licensed on the old computer.
  2. Set Up a New Device Login:

    • In the same VeriScan Cloud portal under Access Management > Devices, click Create Login.
    • Fill out the form with the required details.
    • Note the new device login and password.
    • Click Create.
  3. Install VeriScan on the New Computer:

    • Install the VeriScan application on your new computer.
    • Open the application and navigate to Settings > Help > License.
    • Enter the new device login and password.
  4. Verify the New Device Login:

  5. Consider Reporting Impact:

    • Be aware that reporting in the portal may be affected, as your new device login will have a different device ID than the old one.
    • If you would like to re-use the same device login to maintain reporting consistency, please contact support for assistance.
  6. Uninstall VeriScan from Old Computer (Optional):

    • To avoid any confusion or conflicts, consider uninstalling the VeriScan application from your old computer with the VeriScan Installer after the new device login is successfully set up.

By following these steps, you can easily transfer your VeriScan device login to your new computer without any issues.

If you are using a webhooks integration that hinges on the device ID (for example Sweed POS), you will need to provide the integrator with the updated device ID.
