Adding a Photo
The first step to any scan on VeriScan for Android is to capture the barcode. Use the laser or camera on your Android device to capture the ID data and display it on the scan results screen.
From the scan results screen, tap the circle profile picture to add an image.
Adding a New Photo

If there is no picture saved, the circle will appear as a grey user icon. Tapping the circle and adding a picture will set the newly captured picture as the default profile picture. A blank profile image preview will appear with the option will present itself to add from a file or from the camera. |

Tap the Add From button to open the file explorer dialogue and add a photo Tap the Camera button to open the system camera and take a photo directly. |

Make sure the camera is in focus - you can always adjust the zoom and rotation later. Tap the Capture button to take the picture. Tap the X button to cancel the capture. Tap the Rotate Camera button to switch between front and back cameras. Note: Because the images are captured form the system camera app, your screen may look different from the one pictured here (Unitech EA660). |

Once captured, you can rotate the image and zoom in to fit it into the square preview window. This will crop the picture and save only the face image. Skip this step if you want to capture the entire ID image instead. The Save button will confirm the changes and upload the photo to the visitor's VeriScan profile. The Cancel button will bring you back to the scan results. |

Once complete, you should see the new profile picture added to the visitor's scan results. This image should persist across all your devices and on subsequent scans, (as long as your data retention is set to keep all data). |

Replacing an Existing Photo

If there's already a picture, you will see it in the circle. Adding a new picture will set the new picture as the default profile picture the next time you scan the same ID. It will not delete the old picture from the account. The profile image preview will appear with the option will present itself to add from a file or from the camera. |
