Portal Setup
Enabling the Alerts
The calibration and cleaning alerts are available to all VeriScan users using an E-Seek M500 scanner and can be enabled in the VeriScan Cloud portal under Settings > Local Settings > Alerts > M500 Scanner Maintenance.
The Display alert every X scans option means that once an alert is triggered, it will reappear once closed after the number of scans selected.
Enabling Admin Security Lock
For Enterprise+ users, you can enable the Admin Security Lock for both the Calibration and Cleaning alerts. This is to ensure these processes are actually completed and not simply ignored.
Calibration
Calibrating the M500 is often the first step to ensuring your device is consistently capturing the best images.
The threshold for when the calibration alert will appear is either 3000 scans or 3 months, whichever comes first. Once one of the thresholds has been reached, the following pop-up will appear:

Selecting Close will close the pop-up, but will keep reappearing based on your portal setting until you've calibrated the M500. To Calibrate, refer to the Dust Removal & Calibration section of the M500 Cleaning Guide.
Once the M500 has been calibrated, the only way to prevent the pop-up from reappearing is to press the Calibration Complete button from within Settings > Devices. Doing so will reset the Scans since last calibration and days since last calibration numbers.
If using the Admin Security Lock for this feature, the admin PIN will be required before the button can be clicked.
Cleaning
Cleaning the M500 needs to happen less frequently than calibration does, but it's still an important step in ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the scanner.
The cleaning alert will appear after 6 months have passed regardless of scan count.

Selecting Close will close the pop-up, but will keep reappearing based on your portal setting until you've cleaned the M500. To clean the device, refer to the Cleaning the Rollers section of the M500 Cleaning Guide.
