How to read and review ParseLink notifications related to updates, licensing, and scan readiness.
ParseLink's tray icon will show different notification indicators when it has something important to tell you. You can hover over the tray icon to get a get a quick summary of ParseLink's status.
| Tray Icon | Status | Description |

Ready to Scan | The standard icon. None of the below issues detected. |
 |
Update Available | An update is available on the IDScan.net servers. You can download it yourself or enable automatic updates. |
 |
No Scanner | Double check that your scanner is selected in the menu. |
 |
About to Expire | Check your subscription's expiration date in the ParseLink Dashboard before the grace period ends. |
 |
Expired | Your subscription has lapsed; you may not be able to scan until you renew your subscription. |
Hovering over the ParseLink icon will give you a brief description of the status.
For example, when an update is ready to be downloaded and installed, the orange notification dot will appear over the ParseLink tray icon. Hovering over the icon will reveal the message:
