VeriScan Product Updates June 2026

Completely redesigned the agreements user interface to match updated specifications.
Moved agreement configurations from the App Settings screen to the VeriScan Cloud Portal.
- Controlled via the Agreements dropdown under Local Settings > Printing.

Moved location configuration from local app settings to the VeriScan Cloud Portal.
- Controlled via the Location checkbox in Data Collection Policy.

Removed the "Can't Scan" button from the camera scan screen. If the camera cannot detect the barcode, the user should exit camera scan mode and use "Manual Entry" rather than scanning the ID.

Implemented a more graceful restart mode for the reader service to address intermittent VeriLocks bugs.
Fixed the 16 KB page-size alignment issue for the Phidgets library to ensure the Phidget relay works in VeriLock mode.

VeriScan can send instant email or SMS notifications the moment an ID fails authentication or barcode security check. This allows your security team and managers to catch and respond to potential fraud immediately.
How can I get notified via email or SMS when an ID fails authentication?
Added location and device name to the multi-scan alert. These additional fields can provide you with more information about the visitor's previous scan history.
Added the Authentication Summary table (as shown in the VeriScan for Windows app) to the Authentication tab in the portal.
Added an 'Issue State' option to data collection and data retention settings.
Added a Security & Compliance Statistics section to the VeriScan Cloud Traffic Report. This information gives you a high-level overview of IDs that have been invalidated or deemed suspicious (failed authentication).

VeriScan for Windows will now look at the Profile Photo Options set in the VeriScan Cloud and lock the selection in-app.

Fixed an issue where no data was shown in History if the State filter was applied.
Fixed an issue where the location filter in the Device Activity Report was empty.
Fixed an issue where the Subscription Options button was missing in certain cases.
